Any time a Porsche is in an accident or even has a spec of paint the value is diminished . The insurance company will pay for an authorized repair center to fix it as best as possible unless it's rendered otherwise by the insurance adjuster .They will not be the ones inspecting your car when you sell it or trade it in .

You could :Hold off on repair
1) Get an estimate
2) Get a trade in number on the crashed car and compare it with black book .
3) Hand all of that info to an attorney and wait for him to advise .

BUT --------

It's not a good situation emotionally and probably best to hedge the loss by fixing it and trading it in .If you hire an attorney and face expense , time, and headache it makes the bad situation seem even worse by adding more time and stress and there's still going to be some financial loss.
