Does anyone know which exact battery model is for the 05 997S?
i see everyone recommends interstate, any model #?
i also hear optima 38R but i need an adapter?

If you where driving an old 911 and a factory battery was tough to get or a chevy then i would go that route and cruise down to the local Auto Zone. But for a new model 997 i would go with the factory battery from your Porsche dealer. It is going to fit correctly, no adapter needed and warranty on the battery is thru your dealer. Obviously, he will also know the exact part number.

 

Interstate MTP-91. Search "interstate battery" on Rennlist.com to find the discussion. It's an Optima 34 (red or yellow) - the 34R has the terminals reversed. You would need an adaptor - see last item on this page http://www.gmgracing.com/porsche_engine.shtml
