I don't get the "we compared the GTR to the base 911 because of similar price", but then throw in the Audi R8 at $134,500. Hmmmm.....

That said, the GTR seems to be a monster.

They ought to test a C6 Vette and then throw in a Ferrari 430 for good measure too.

997 Dude is infamous around these parts
Fact is that there is more to buying a sports car than how fast it is. No one could drive any cars on that list near the limit on streets, so the performances differences are kind of academic. The Nissan has a monstrous amount of performance for the money, but it many car reviewers say it is somewhat uninvolving to drive. I would have to drive it to figure it out if it is as fun as it is fast. I do know that, while it is kind of cool looking, it is nowhere near the looker as a 997.

why compare a 75k car to a 135k R8, and then compare those two cars to a 38k evo? Stupid test concocted by morons. The GTR is the best all around car there no doubt, but they contradict themselves at times.

I ran my car for the first time last night and clocked a 12.867 thats almost R8 time and it's 50k less.
The GTR is nuts for that price ,But still not a porsche

"If success in this test were measured in adrenaline production or outright fear of death, the Elise wins hands-down."

The author is obviously super risk-adverse. Who doesn't love the thrill of imminent death?
