¼ mile run in my stock 06 997
#31
I just had chip and exhaust when i hit 12.77. The mods will probably do very minimal, I have so much room for improvement just from my 60 foot.
My goal next time around is 12.4

I agree with you; my friend's stock 335i is comparatively a dog next to my S. I don't have anything to argue about with Nitro911 but a 12.5 seems really fast with just the ecu upgrade.

Edmunds road test, 2007, supposedly with an experienced driver:
Our 335i similarly scalded the quarter-mile in 13.3 seconds at 105.9 mph. For comparison, our 2005 M3 Competition Package used up 5.5 seconds getting to 60 and finished the quarter-mile in 13.7 seconds at 105.4 mph — close, but still a rearview-mirror performance. We almost beat the all-powerful 2007 Audi RS4, too. Despite a 120-horsepower advantage and all-wheel-drive launch superiority, it just nicked our 335i's 0-60 and quarter-mile times by a paltry 0.1 second each.

Many Times going back to stock while getting an updated version of the tune.
I had a buddy with Vishnu that stayed in limp mode, seems that is the norm too.

+1 especially if you didn't get ZSP (sport package) and 18" wheels. That combo nets you the external oil cooler in the front passenger fenderwell.

They do limp mode and overheating bone stock, without the oil cooler. I have heard of many 300 plus degree oil temps from track days. My point is they can be made to be very fast, faster than an M3. And if Vishnu rubs you wrong you can always go Dinan, but it will cost you
