for merc owners - stay away from mercedes of tampa bay
dropped off my cls63 last week at merc service for 16k mile service which is really just an over priced oil change. They had to keep it over night because they had to order a part for the brake recall. I left my $300 Maui jims in their case in that small compartment under the drivers seat. I thought about taking them with me but figured it was merc - they won't steal them. I didn't know I'd have to leave the car there over night. Picked up the car and found the glasses and the case were gone. I'm 100% sure they were stolen. I told the service guy that maybe someone set them aside while they worked on the car. He went to the back but said no sign and no one had seen them. This is not the kind of service I expect on a $100k mercedes. They said therres nothing they can do..So i said ill be sure to share my story with as many people as possible..thanks for listening

Funny you should mention Tampa Bay Mercedes. My wife got a 2008 CLK550 Cabriolet back in December 2007. We took it in for the complimentary 3000 mile service a few weeks ago. We scheduled this service a week in advance and my wife asked to reserve a loaner Mercedes for the day.
We got there and there was no loaner Mercedes and after she nicely and professionally complained all they could do was a Chrysler 300. Anyway car was supposed to be ready that day but they never called. So we went back the next day and got the car to find big scratches in the windshield. It appeared they got some grit or rocks on the windshield wiper and turned them on and wore scratches in the glass.
Long story short we had to leave the car again and they said they would replace the glass after much argueing. They said come back again the next day so we did. When we got back to Merc of Tampa Bay the car was still not fixed! We wasted part of a day again driving and hour to this dealership. We came back the following day and the car was still not ready and had to wait around for hours until the glass was replaced. This whole ordeal took 4 days!
I've had the car back a few weeks and finally went to use the windshield wipers and the windshield washer fluid spray does not work because they forgot to hook the system back up when they replaced the freakin windshield!
So yeah...STAY AWAY form Mercedes of Tampa Bay!!!!!
