07 C4S FOR SALE question...
Since I don't seem to have authority to post a FOR SALE posting of my 2007 C4S (Turbo is arriving shortly) since I'm new to the board, can anyone suggest other another good venue besides eBay. On the same note, what is the connection to 100 postings before one can list an item for sale??

No connection that I can figure out. It's a foolish policy and a disservice to the members that might potentially purchase your car.
The silly rule forces many to incessantly reply to other member posts with no value responses like, "nice car" or "good job" just in order to work towards the 100 count.

Good luck.

I found both of my 997's on eBay, saying that I did use Autotrader as well to look. I used eBay to find the car, then after the listing expired I contacted the seller, agreed on a price and then did an inspection (private third party).
Worked out well for both parties.
Ken, watch out for people from Vancouver.

So, exactly why would that be such a bad thing? Remember for every seller, there is a buyer. So we negate the advantage of seeing a members car listed here because...???
That would be a great poll qestion:
Would you rather allow a member to post their Porsche for sale here or have them list it elsewhere because they do not have the manditory 100 posts? Also, keep in mind the current policy has many meaningless posts submitted inorder to reach the 100 posts.
My vote: Allow them to post and do away with the current 100 post policy.

However, there is a downside...
Free marketplaces on the internet quickly become filled with scam items, making it impossible to trust the few good sellers in the mix...
Probably a middle ground would be good though, maybe 50 posts would cut down on the scammers and make it easier for real sellers?

I think that we need less posts (25-50) and more moderator contact. There is a post in the 997 forum from a person that is selling something unrelated to Porsche's on there first post. A moderator should drop kick this post within a few hours, at least in the in 12 hours.
Too loose in control, just my opinion.

+1, I know a number of that a lot of people on this forum are members on Rennlist, but I found that the people are more laid back over on this forum.

I sold mine on cars.com and also had it on autotrader, I didn't get a bunch of responses until I added a bunch of pics from all sides then I got a bunch of emails and sold in about a week....
