To PDK or not to PDK? What do you all think?

one other thing that always gets me with the thumb buttons but that many dont consider until they sit down with it is that it forces the driver to have hands at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions and their thumbs hooked inside the steering wheel. not only is this a less than intuitive position for ones hands to be at being too low but also thumbs inside the steering wheel is just asking for trouble in the event of a bump.
try driving your car around with your hands where they would need to be to operate those switches for even a short while and you will see how nasty the feel of the hand position really is.

I don't wear clip on ties or bowties. I tie my own shoe laces. I shift my own gears using a gear stick and clutch pedal. When I can do none of the above I will move over to the "Porsche Double Klutz" automatic gearbox, and hook up my colostomy bag in the door pocket and drive to Florida...

I've met quite a few folks at the track who like their SMG/DSG transmissions. Curiously, none of them were suburban housewives.

And that's where the PDK will shine - on the track, where it's all about numbers. But, on the street, DSG was a bore - might as well been a slushbox

After driving an A3 with DSG for over a year I agree with you.
