Lane,
Thanks for shedding some light on the manufacturing ( assembly ) process. You folks have some nice looking products. Even if they do end up weighing more than the factory housing.
At $1650/set. I've got to ask. Does "set" mean top and bottom or top/bottom driver and passenger doors? Either way, why so steep a price to overlay a $70 part.
Regards, Dave
I have them. I have full 100% carbon mirrors from EvoMS. Here's a pic. The car is Basalt Black, and I think it looks awesome on the car. I also have GMG's carbon nose vent on the GT3 bumper... and GMG's GT3 RS rear wing with the carbon blade. I love it. Don't have pics of the wing, and only a shotty one of the vent... so I'll post those when I get the car back. But I have had the mirrors for a while, so have the pics here with me in the hotel.
Those are stock mirror housings covered in Carbon fiber. It's called an overlay, like all stock porsche interior carbon, the carbon is bonded to the plastic part, then cleared and polished. We do our mirrors the same way, and they have proven to hold up very well, and look great imo. Hope this helps anyone looking for carbon mirrors.

Hey Dave,
The price is for the top and bottom for both sides. The price is very high, because of a bunch of different things. It is 4 seperate pieces with compicated contours, and we manufacture all of our parts in Belgium so the weak dollar has raised the price a lot in the last year.
We also make a lot of full molded carbon for Ferrari, and Lamborghini. Porsche parts are not full molded carbon because of the complicated snap together nature of the pieces. It would be nearly impossible to make these parts in full carbon, and if we could it would cost ten times more than it already does.
I'm glad you like our products and if you ever have any questions about carbon, just let me know.
Thanks,
Lane
