Smile What is my 997 worth?

Any thoughts on what I should list my wife's 07 Targa 4 (non-S)? Red/black, 11k miles in service July 07, Bose, Turbo Wheels, launch car etc. 1 owner, no stories or track days. Excl condition.

Only selling because we are expecting...

You could get baby car seats . Just kidding --sort if . Because selling it imight be tough. It might even be easier to trade it for a Cayenne because selling the SUV years from now would be easier .

The problem you will have is the rare features of this car which add up to a higher MSRP but also make the higher resale price . The buyer is usually looking for that type of car . It's not a convertible , but not a coupe. It's not an S , also an AWD . Tough . It also crossed the 10Kmile mark .

My guess is that your wife liked it because it had a semi top but would handle well in bad weather -- it has versatility and that's a good sales pitch.

It was probably as expensive as a loaded C2S or a moderately equipped C2S cab . The C4S targa new cost nearly as much as a Turbo . You probably paid in the 80's hope to get in the 70's but will get in the high 60's to low 70's if a buyer is looking for that car.

As a "launch car," the extras should generate more interest for someone who understands the equipment that comes with one. That emphasis should be part of your listing. I'm a little more optimistic than yrralis1. I think there's is significant interest in AWD Porsches, especially in winter weather locations like yours. In addition, there are significantly fewer Targas than other models. A good friend of mine who has an '06 C2S cab was telling me at dinner two weeks ago that he is seriously considering trading in his car for a facelift Targa when they're available for the reasons I just stated (we're in Denver.) Good luck. You've got a nice car there and I don't see 10k miles as that significant a detriment.

Thanks all. I appreciate the feedback. She really wants something a little different than the Cayenne. Sounds like $68.5k would move the Targa?

I think it will depending on region and finding the buyer looking for a rare combination . I have never seen a targa 4 only a C4S targa (only one time) and I do feel a place like Denver (mentioned in the second reply) would have a very different demand than South Florida .

You are also in a region priced to sell fairly well . Good luck and best wishes with your (soon to be) new family member .
