Eibach springs

Eibach springs
Just installed an Eibach "Pro Kit" set of springs that's supposed to lower my 997s by 1". However, the height didn't change at all. I followed the instructions exactly, including using all the factory mounting hardware and marking the orientation of springs and hardware. I have installed several springs and struts over the years, including ps10's on my other 997, with no issues. Has anyone else had this problem?

I just ordered eibachs myself so I'm hoping that's the case

I thought ride height was all about adjusting and not settling!

I'm not an expert, just basing my comments on observations... but IMO, there could be many reasons why springs "settle", including the coils being loaded with weight for the first time ... and/or the installation process resulting in a sub-optimal spring position/perch which takes a few days/miles to settle into it's equilibrium state...
In a coilover or spring + shock setup, the spring coils/mount points are pre-loaded and shipped as a single unit. That typically explains why there is no settling involved.
Mating a lowering spring with another shock assembly for the first time can introduce any number of variables which nescessitate a "break in" period.
Just my two cents

How many days have you had them installed? Most aftermarket springs, especially eibachs (at least based on my personal experience on prior cars) need some time to settle... typically a week or two before you see the final ride height.

if used then I would think they were stock springs in an Eibach box, new and I would go back to the person who sold them to the buyer.

They are new; bought from Tire Rack for $310. I called Damon at Tire Rack and he is working with me. He said the springs need to settle. Since yesterday and about 30 miles of driving, it has dropped about 3/8 to 1/2 ". I'm planning to just drive for a week or so, and see what happens. Hopefully, I'll get the inch I was expecting.

That's funny, I get junk mail every day about special pills that will help you out with that..
No, seriously- That is odd. It should have been a bit lower from the beginning, even though your final drop will not happen until you put some miles on them. If you have PASM there could be something different going on.
Make sure to get a full and proper alignment in a couple of weeks. Getting an alignment right after putting them on is worthless.

I'm curious as to whether or not you have PASM as well.
Also, do you think the ride is still comfortable or bone crushing? Everyone insists that coil overs are the way to go but I don't track my car and I want to get rid of the gap in the wheel well and I think springs are a better choice for me personally.
How would you compare the comfort with the Eibach's compared to stock?
