Nugget is infamous around these parts
There was an M6 in my run group a few months ago when I was out at Texas World Speedway. The M6 driver and I seemed fairly well-matched, I guess, and I saw a lot of him during our morning sessions. He had an edge on me in the front straightaway (pretty fast top speeds running TWS clockwise) and I ate him up in the carousel. Overall I was very surprised at how competitive the M6 was out on the track for being so heavy. I'd probably have had an advantage at a tighter track, but at TWS the M6 seemed fairly well-sorted.

I didn't see him at all in the afternoon and it turned out he had to stop running after lunch because he'd boiled his brake fluid and his front tires were showing some distress.

You might be able to overcome that weight with torque when it comes to acceleration, but it comes at a severe cost in other areas of performance and handling. Not only do you have to push all that weight up to those high speeds, but you also have to turn it and stop it too.
