That's good to know, guess the inlet size doesn't matter. Any reason not to buy used mufflers? Noticed some other brands guys said they rattled. What does AH charge for labor?

 

Actually, I would prefer buying a used set since they are already burned in and sound their best!
PM "Sherm" here, he bought a used set from AH (my set from my 996) which had 1200 miles on them, and sounded cherry.

These mufflers are unique in that they use a flex section on the inlet side like OEM mufflers. This flex section stops any rattles or vibration inside the car. I have no idea why other aftermarket muffler makers do not use the flex section (except maybe added cost to production), it makes a nice difference inside the cabin.

Labor? I dunno, he's not expensive though. Call Brian and tell him I referred you (Kurt), number is on website www.afterhoursautomotive.com . Very nice guy.

 

Will try to get over to Brian's shop in a week or two. Maybe he's got something to listen to. Better yet, you going to the Industry meet from pcars? Maybe I can take a listen from the source .

I know they are planning making exhausts for 997.2 and 996/997 Turbo- Not sure when though.
