You could do GIAC upgrade, 200 cell sport cats, and maybe headers for that, or save for and get a supercharger. It adds plenty of power - even with full stock exhaust setup.

Vf was able to get 417 to the wheels from my Non S 3.6 997. That's with the stock exhaust. I've since added a full cargraphic exhaust. My car will easily walk a stock 997S. There's no comparison. I don't know really how to describe it. It's just faster throughout the entire powerband. It really throws you into the seat when you get on the throttle. I haven't been able to compare it to a 997tt yet, but with 417 whp and lighter weight and rwd, my car should be faster or at the least comparable.

Personally I really don't care what you do. Save your 3k and a few more and buy a Turbo when you can afford one. 3k spent on a NA 997 is a waste, you will not see a decent increase unless you go with forced induction. Enzo huh??

Fluffy,

Here you go again! You are worse then me with this mod bug.

I am not sure what you are trying to use your car for, but if it is track use I would add a set of CO's, will make you a little quicker in the braking zones and corners. If it is street use and you want a little extra kit, my first choice would be high flow cats, then headers. Save your money and don't worry about mufflers, they don't give you any noticeable power (nor do the other items, but they give you quicker revs through the band) and therefore it accelerates quicker.

I don't know what the flash will do for you, as I don't have one, but it seems as if Softronic is the one to go with.

I probably noticed the most difference from the GIAC and AWE cats from all my other mods.

Look. There's nothing you can do w/ 3k man.

1k - cats
1k - exhaust
500 - headers
200 - intake
300 - install

those bolt-on's will do nothing for you in terms of power you can feel.

i sat in summoboy's car w/ the TPC supercharger that vividracing had a GB on, that thing feels like a jet. i'm absolutely certain that he won't just "walk" but "MURDER" a 997.2S. i'd even bet on it against a 997TT. he took me for a ride and 0-60 in what felt like 3.5 seconds in A TIPTRONIC at that!!

save your money. send your car to arizona and ask dan @ vivid to hook you up from 6speed.

you can also go with VF. haven't heard much about'em but i'm sure it's similar.

all i can tell you is I sat in a tpc sc-ed tip 997 and the launch is the same as when a 747 takes off. that thing will toast an M5. i mean.. TOAST.

sleeper factor is sexy.

make sure you lower the damn car too.

You can also consider putting that $3k into non-performance mods that will enhance your driving experience.

$1,000 - NavTV for Satellite Radio & Ipod

$1,500 - $2,000 - Custom Rims

$250 - Radar Detector (Escort, Valentine, Uniden)

$1000 - Clear Bra

$250 - Tinted Windows

$2,500 - Racing Seats

$650 - Multi-function Steering Wheel

$2,500 - Bilstein Damptronic Suspension (pasm)

I will save you 1,5k:
muffler bypass: 200 (custom made from any exhaust shop)
intake: 300
ECU: 1000

A full exhaust system don't add much more power than the muffler bypass. IMHO, ~5hp don't worth +3k. Then if you feel the need for more you only have two options: SC kit or trade it for a S ot TT.
