I'm considering replacing my drls, the little light inside the fog light housing that turns on with the headlights. The light is a w5w or 194 bulb. I know hoen has an HID look one but suposedly it can burn the housing. I want an led bulb but suposedly they trigger a dash light. Supposedly these led ones wont trigger the dash light, what do u guys think

interesting! if they're from taiwan, the quality should be pretty good.

they're local to me. i'm going to see if they have local pick up or if they are willing to let me try it out to see if there is a warning light.

 

kinda pricey for two small bulbs, but very cool nonetheless- let us know how they work out if you pick up a set.

The lower resistance of the LED is what triggers the warning light,not sure that it would be too hard to wire in a resistor to mimic the incandescent bulb to keep the light away. Edit: just looked at the dimensions, at 34mm long it would stick way out into the housing if it fits at all and being away from the reflector so far may cause a weird light scattering effect and draw some unwanted attention, and **** off oncoming drivers.
