you should be looking for ~15% off msrp in this economy.

if you get that, it's a good deal.

as for the price quoted, different options do different things and can vary widely.

Yes, you have to look at the MSRP. For example, if the MSRP is $82,000, I would offer $65k - $66k and close either at $66k or $67 tops. The new 09's are out, so 06-08 are now "outdated models" (dont take it wrong, is just for dealer-negotiation).

good luck!

65k out of 82k is like 20% off.

Is it really doable?

And this is 2 months ago! imagine today...i think 09s can be had for 10% off at least.

Basically I have a line on a new 08 Guards Red C2 with 19's, PASM, Chrono, GT2 Seats (odd combo I know) with an MSRP of 84K. Dealer is asking 75K and I am hoping to get them down to 68-70K as 75K is a little rich for my blood with slightly used C2S's coming in under 70K now....

You should offer to take it if they give you 50k. Don't you know we are going back to hunting and gathering? The only cars will be electric? Oil is going to 1k a barrel? We will be using gold for money? This time it's different. That's why Porsche sales are up. They are paying people to take the cars!!!!

I agree 15% is def doable on 08s and thats where they should be. Even if a dealer makes nothing on the 08 its still better for them versus the carrying cost of the car, and with the 09s coming they'll sell to you for invoice or maybe less just given this market.
