GruppeM intake question

GruppeM intake question
Im looking into getting a C4S and I have a list of mods I want but have come to jam between either getting a GruppeM intake or the Champion Air box. Both look amazing to me but i just dont know which is better. My question is has anyone have experience with either? The champion one is apparantly $3.5k and i beleive the GruppeM is a little cheaper but performance and sound wise which is better? I want an agressive sound and good performace increase, any help would be awesome.

Both products are highly attractive in the website images. I have seen the Champion airbox up close and it looks great.
How about some authoritative dyno runs for both airboxes versus stock on the same car & dyno?
These parts are big bucks. Impress us with the power gains. There is power at the rear wheels and power at the brochure.

It's actually cheaper to go the X51 route...if you can deal with the new hole cut in the rear deck.

yeah, i mean yes i totally trust champion products because of who they are and what they do, but honestly $3.5k for an air box!?!?!?! regardless if its made out of carbon fiber or designed for a porsche, i like evoms products, have their intake on my mkv gti idk i wanna see dyno numbers though for sure

X51 is the performance package Porsche offers from the factory, it includes (among other stuff) a CF intake with dual inlets. It's a nice factory option for an intake, Suncoast sells some of the X51 parts that people often use in pieces (headers, intake):
As said above, you (or someone) needs to cut a second hole in the decklid for the inlet. As mentioned above, nothing against GruppeM, but i think for that money I'd go X51 to get the dual inlets (or Champion though the price is a bit crazy).

3500 for an air intake is a waste of money. It will not give you big performance gains, a few HP at most. Spend you money on something else, suspension seats, or tires if you are going to the track. Wheels, body kit, or some other bling if you want it to look good.
