GT3 RS Front bumper cover 'vent' on stock carrera anyone?

Anyone got a pic of the GT3 RS 'vent' retrofitted to their stock front bumper? I was thinking of doing that and adding a carbon clip of some sort.

I believe the GT3 grill will work on standard 997 bumper. TA is putting the similar grill to 997.2, Cayman, 997TT. The link below is the install writeup for cayman which I think it will be useful for 997.

I do have a GT3 CF grill, CF mirror insert and Rinspeed style CF front lip for your 997. Let me know if you interest.

Its doable, the cayman guys have done so repeatedly.

I've got my vent already sitting here waiting for the car to arrive. In the mean time, I'm trying to figure out how the original OEM GT type bumper covers have the vent attached, to see if there are other install options available. (I'm not interested in the lower front end clearance of the GT bumper cover/spoiler).

Here is the link to the existing thread on that.... ( https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...nt-bumper.html ) .. awaiting pictures of the inside of the GT bumpers.

Fabryce (GMG) has a carbon one too. I have it. It's good.

Besides the Cayman site DIY stuff, does someone have the GT parts manual pics that show the parts blowup of the front bumper cover?

Groovy. Got car, got the vent/grill... now just need to know when to start cutin' into the bumper cover.. and what to do about support on the back. I might end up with the same 'wire clip' solution as is posted on the Cayman DIY on the subject, but I'd like to see how the factory designs the solution, and the dealer just won't pull the bumper cover off of the GT3 for me to take pictures. Go figure.

Ive never seen this done with perfect fitment. Ive been to the most reputable shops and none of them recommend it. Even GT3's that ive seen have fitment issues with it after a while, and it comes with one out of the factory!

Thats why I'm waiting to see what the factory solution is. It may be that it needs a more rigid frame to hold it in place than even the factory solution.

What sort of fitment issues are GT3's having? Got any pics, anyone?

here are the pictures as promised. there seems to be an internal support system on the back side of the gt3 bumper smiley. but im sure it can be fabricated out of some plastic or aluminum. so from the back side, the smiley face is secured on to this internal support sytem.
