Porsches in the movies
I was on a flight from Bangkok yesterday and watched a movie called '88 Minutes' (decent thriller starring Al Pacino). I was pleasantly surprised to see that an arctic silver 997S cab played a relatively significant role in the film. It made me wonder how many other films contained p-cars in any significant way. I'm not much of a movie buff and can't think of any others. Can anyone out there come up with more examples?
BTW, I was shocked to see the price of Porsches in Thailand. An '09 C2S was going for $535,000 (18,190,000 Thai baht)! According to the sales person (Performance Auto Group- Siam Paragon), there are massive taxes plus some additional equipment that is standard vs. being options in the US.

1/2 million dollars C2s.... ; <
I never understood why these car are tax so much by the govt in country such as those in Asia etc. And what does one need to make in-order to afford them. And how many people can afford them. Half a million will buy you Five C2S in the US. You do not have to be rich (I am not)to drive a Porsche here, and there are plenty of used at decent price for those that love and want to get into one.

I know Entourage isn't a movie, but Ari and some hollywood agent competitor of his get into a road race weaving through traffic - Ari in a F430 spider, his competitor in a black/black C4S convertible. That was in this season's Entourage, can't quite remember whether it was the second or third episode.

That scene was a remake of the movie "Against all odds" with Jeff Bridges (911 Cabriolet)and James Woods (Ferrari 308?) tearing up Sunset Blvd. Ferrari one in that one..
Also, "The Devil wears Prada" there was a scene whee Anne Hathaway is driving Miranda's car...a 997S Cab..
