Back Up Camera
#2
I looked around for a rear view camera that would interface with the PCM screen a couple years ago. Could not find anything. No one knew anything about connecting into the 997's wiring. There is, apparently, a rear view camera available for the Cayenne, but who knows if it can be adapted to fit the 997. This seems to still be uncharted territory.
I am sure that a stand alone camera & display can be installed in the car, but where to mount the display & how to make it cosmetically acceptable looks like a problem.

There is a backup camera that you can integrate.
However, you need to remove the PCM and install an upgraded Kenwood headunit. The kenwood has an 8 inch full-color touchscreen with iPod controls, Navigation, BlueTooth, DVD Player, and an option for an integrated backup camera.
It's aboiut $3,500 installed.

I received a quote for a back up camera before from Nav-TV. Forgot how much it was, so I have to dig through my emails.
They basically require you to remove and mail your current PCM to them in Florida, where they will perform some minor surgery to it. Then when you get it back, it can integrate with a module to allow the PCM screen to be used as a rear view camera.
I've never seen it before in person yet, but I was very very interested at one point.
