this has been beat to death...do a search...some of us that have them love em and some hate em...most who race/track often replace them with iron...for the street they should last a long time and there is no brake dust...big difference between Gen I and Gen II...as Izzone says...they are expensive (although cheaper when ordered new) to replace...

I had them on one car (05 997S ) and opted not to get them on my 07 (997S ) and Turbo .

I loved them but felt they were overpriced . The price of the steel brakes in contrast is a steal . There also is a Brembo upgrade which I feel is better than both .

One thing I have noticed with my Turbo is that at the current 700 Hp neither the steel not the ceramic are built to accomodate this massive Hp . In short on a full throttle run even those big reds are bit scary .

I would opt for the larger Brembo upgrade over OEM .

Pros- no to not much brake dust
- light weight for better handleing at the limit on the track

Cons- a set of rotors to replace is $10,000!!!!
- $575 for front brake pads and you can only use Porsche pads

If you track you car 10-15 times a year and you do not have $10,000 for a set of rotors each year stay with the steels S brakes.

Got 'em on my 2005 997S. With 16K miles both pads and rotors show little signs of wear. I don't track, but, do an occasional DE and/or AX event and some aggressive driving through some So Cal canyons.

The popular position is if you track on a regular basis then PCCB's are not for you.

The 997S brakes are AWESOME! I have had over 6 AX and 5 full tack days, and the rotors and the pads look almost new (80+%).

I would rather get the GT3 R big brake set, than the ceramics.... BUT if money was no issue i would get the ceramics for the weight savings for the track... maybe!

Lots of conflicting info out there. I have them on my car and they were very impressive on the autobahn, where I had to slow from high speeds, often. If and when the rotors need replacement, there is a higher quality, lower cost alternative:

http://movit.de/rahmen/ceramic.htm

Ask again in 7-10 yrs whether I am happy with my choice.

That is why I asked these questions...

These $8,150 dollar questions!

I Need to know feedback from people that Own/have previously Owned, the Current/Second version of PCCB.

Thanks to everyone for your replies!

Please keep them coming!

My 2006 CPO originally came with PCCB's, but the
first owner didn't like them, so his dealership replaced them
with the larger brakes from the Turbo, instead of
stock C2S brakes. I would have preferred the
PCCB's, but I have to say that the Turbo brakes on a C2S are
awesome.

I've never owned them but have driven a 997S with the PCCB's. My friend that is on the forum MKK62 has them on his car. You should send him a PM.
