Has anyone had this happen?
My battery died yesterday on my 2006 C4S and the strangest thing happened. When I connected a new battery I had a few faults pop up. The airbag light came on, Pasm failure, and the wierdest thing was that now the Chrono display stays lit up. The PASM failure is normal and corrects itself quickly. I was able to clear the airbag warning with Durametric, but the Chrono display won't go off. It wouldn't be a big deal during the day but at night that thing lights up like a neon light! Anyone seen this before? Thanks.

Would it have helped save all the functions, if you would have plugged a battery maintainer in the 12v accessary outlet connector prior to disconnecting the battery?

I don't know, but I sure wish I had thought of it. 5 hours away from nearest dealer. Ouch! I have disconnected the battery numerous times before and never had these gremlins, but it was kind of freaking out when I first tried to start it with dead battery. Drivers window was going down warnings were flashing.

Seems that the issue relates to the fact the battery was completely dead vs the action of disconnecting a healthy battery. Once the battery died my guess is the coded info was totally lost and was not recoverable at that point no matter what you did.

Battery was flat and I jumped it. It had enough juice to run for a day before I took it in to the dealer to be tested, and it was bad. The functions were lost before the new battery was put in.
Apparently reverts back to transit condition and has to be reset as new.
