Limited slip diff
Just wanted to know if a limited slip diff (Porsche original or aftermarket) can be post- fitted to a 2007 997 C2
I had a limited slip diff in my Lotus Elise and really loved the feel of it during cornering when roads were greasy/slipery
Thnaks,
Vince

YES you can

Vince you can go OEM (real expensive) or go with Quaife. You can get the Quaife LSD for around $1700 I think plus install.
Here it is on Vividracing's website..

I think it could be one of the best mods to this car. I just wish we could change final drive ratio as well.

Theres quaife , oem and I believe guards . On the AWD car it's somewhat over done . For instance all Tiptronic 997tt cars do NOT have it and aboit half the manual 997tt don't as well .
I know it's standard on the new C4S but as i have stated in other threads I believe the C4S development might be linked with the winter driving program so every little bit helps .
Here's my opinion -if the car doesn't have it .. don't cry . You still have a great car .If you fall in love with a car and it doesn't have it ... buy the car . Don't let this be a dealbreaker on a great car. If you order a car .. get the option .. it can't hurt anything and it well help resale .

I agree, for the track this is one of the best mods that I could do, on the street, I am not so sure. I should have the car back by Wednesday or Thursday (I will allow the shop to take there time, and do it right), It could snow by the end of the week, so driving it is not a huge concern right now.

I also have a LWFW going into my car at the same time. The estimated number of hours is about 12 in total. The Transmission needs to be dropped, then installed and set up properly.

How about a short shifter as well?

Yep. Do the LWFW and Quaife at the same time. Also consider a clutch while you're in there. You want to get the most out of your labor hours that you can. The LSD and LWFW are two of the best mods I've done.
