i think we should also compare with the 09 987S...which will have a new engine

 

To me one of the main considerations is the back seat, albeit small. Allows me to go for a ride with both wife and son.

My first Porsche was a Cayman, boughted this July 2008... and when I got the chance I traded for a 2006 Carrera 4S + more cash...

Every time I look back to my childhood and dreams of the perfect car I had only on my mind the 911 at that time (and I have to say also the Ferrari when Magnum PI TV series where brodcasted) but now I can say that I will go only Porsche because refine engeniering and 911... I will like to get a 2nd one and could be a Cayman, Boxter, Cayenne or Panamera but keep allways a 911...

I guess for must of us the Porsche add of the kid that says to the dealer "I'll come back in 20 years..." fits us..

 

I had an 06 Cayman S that I actually purcahsed in lieu of a 911, even though the 911 was my "dream car". I love the looks of the Cayman and it handles like a dream, but it is not a 911.

I rectified that problem by buying an new 08 C2S. Everytime I drive the car or look at it in a parking lot I almost have to pinch myself to convince me I'm not dreaming. It is such a beautiful car and fulfilling in so many ways.

Stop dreaming. If at all possible buy the 911. You will not regret the decision.
