Nugent, I spoke with Fabspeed because they are building me my X pipe, mufflers and intake for my 09. I brought up what was said by your dealer about Fabspeed copying Miltech...which is total BS like I thought. Was this a Porsche dealer or aftermarket dealer?

I never remebered Miltech making ANYTHING for Porsche up until recently. Miltek Sport UK came to the Porsche Market in 2007with a Porsche 996 TT exhaust. Fabspeed has been making Porsche exhaust systems since 1993 (16 years). From what I have seen is that virtually all other German and USA based tuners have copied the Fabspeed systems and V band designs on all fronts. I can personally tell you from experiance that 997, 997TT and other Fabspeed quad tips have been copied by other company's. The only good thing is that the copied tips are poor quality such as the Schnell I bought don’t fit like Fabspeed does.

I installed the Fabspeed 200cell cats and the fabspeed bypass pipes and man am I happy!! before I was satisfied with a the car, but now I would take this car over anything else there is out there! It makes the car really fun to drive! Its SOO loud! but if you put it in 4th cruising around the neighborhood its quiet.

My independent Porsche mechanic did this for me on a 996 and charged me $50, that's probably absurdly cheap though.

hahaha, just wait, i ordered some Evo M headers and a plenum to complement this setup as well. I should have it all on by next week sometime. I will try to get ahold of a nice camera with some good audio so you can actually her what it REALLY sounds like vs some budget muffled camera! Plus i need to wait to get real plates before i really get on it. I have a paper plate hanging in my window which i just limo tinted so now you cant see it! lol, it looks like im driving around with no license plate!! hahaha

I tried bypass pipes and didn't care for them for the long haul, too loud in the car and lost some noticeable TQ. However, I think everyone should try it at least once

Best one I've found is the AH pipes, still light at 8lbs each - rip at WOT and quiet enough for calls. I get compliments on them all the time, was at Pacific Porsche today and had some of the sales guys and techs checking it out, they thought it was the best exhaust they've heard on a 997 (Pacific Porsche is mod friendly).

Here's some vid clips, my 997 was used for the promo videos - they cost $1100 and 6speeders get $50 off. I also picked up some decent RW HP/TQ with these pipes.
