Here's the problem for me - I had bought my daughter a GTI with V6 and the DSG transmission with paddles. For about a week it was fun to use the paddles, but it got to the point that there was no "challenge", so I just left the car in auto mode all the time. In a few weeks the GTI was just another automatic car, as far as fun was concerned.
The PDK is incredibly competent, but so was my turbo - just not alot of fun. The 6 speed 997.2 with sport shifter and sport suspension gives me back what I missed in the turbo. But I tell you, the 997.2 turbo with PDK will be a perfect match - keeping the turbo spooled up with the lightening shifts - what an acceleration monster it will be.

I think the PDK tranny will be popular, but like cars prior to the PDK, there are Tip Tronic cars around that people are happy with. I will drive one one day, but still will want a MT in my garage.
