Video 2009 997S PDK car comes in for surgery

We just got done with a "mild" round of modifications for a 209 997S PDK car (meteor grey).

First thing was to address the Cayenne-level stock suspenion...

We went with the TechArt lower spring kit (just as on our car):

And the rears..

Next up was to tweak the sound of the stock exhaust:

On goes the SharkWerks center muffler replacement:

And on the inside we popped on the EVO pedal kit. Just an FYI, the "Tiptronic" kit fits perfectly fine.

There she is lowered and ready to go home...

It's nice to see some of these cars coming in now after having been driven

What kind of floor matting is that (kinda looks like bubble wrap)?

I got the same impression.
Nice looking car.
That exhaust arrangement on the 997.2 still looks weird to me, especially the header on left side of photo. The middle exhaust pipe looks smaller.

And is the oil drain plug less accessible now too?

Hmm not sure but if I remember right it seemed like an all-weather type of thing. Good to see folks driving in the rain as well

The stock exhaust system is more akin to the gt3 etc... now having the cat/header all intergrated and looks like they hammered them down some for "ground clearance" Runners aren't different sizing tho...

How much lower was the car dropped with that setup? It sounds really nice.

Looks great! The stance looks simular to my Sport PASM on my 09.

I wonder if the Sport PASM shocks are different than the regular PASM shocks? Anyone with a 09 parts book handy?

Alex, do the same CO kits from the 997 work on the 997.2? I haven't seen anyone convert to CO's yet and am not sure if they are available or if it is owners choice.

Car looks great. Two pedals in a 997 looks wrong, bubble wrap or not!

I really like the facelift porsche has done to the 997. This car is looking great and I'm very curious about the PDK (the way it drives). Very nice sound from the exhaust as well.

Bilstein says they do and in terms of fitment we can confirm that to be true yes.... Thanks!
PS I think it's an all-weather mat or temporary? Not sure

Thanks Mats! I really do think Porsche has done a stellar job on the update too. It's pretty much a "new" car to be honest.
