Exterior color choice for the Targa
I for one do not like the metal strip across the windows on the Targa and it stands out more on a darker color like black
How about Silver exterior for the targa 4s?

Any recomendations?

Thanks

How about white? The contrast with the darkened glass roof pull your eye away from the blade. I'm biased but think that Meteor would be a good balance between the two - hiding the blade, but showing off the curves of the car.

Go here: http://www.autogespot.com/index.php and click on the British flag for english instructions. Lots of Targa pics.

Le chef,
I think white would hide it but genrally do not like white cars

I think Meteor will be a good compromise and how about silver?

I like it with my GT Silver. I think it is nice on Meteor and white too.

Personally I would not allow a 'strip' to dictate the look & color of the entire car.
Have it painted to car color (or whatever) ..... & get what you want.
My last 3 Pcars (including 09) stopped at the bodyshop before they went in my garage.
Just my opin.

The 09?

The 09 is a C4SCab (GTSilv w/Alum top & Stone Gray droptop) ...... paint black ABS ground effect pieces to car color, paint my special plate surround to car color, paint rear red reflector strip, temporary solution but turned out great.
She came from my mechanics before hitting bodyshop ..... suspension, Bilstien Damptronic coil-overs ..... set height & rake to my provided spec, corner balance, align ..... other misc so far ..... replace OE Porsche hood badge w/ silver, replace side markers, replace quad-tipped 'S' model exhaust tips with regular Porsche 09 ovals ...... and now I'm going to deal w/the wheels and other misc.

Thanks .... it's coming along.
Idea was to make it a pretty car ..... mainly the wife's drive & a weekend car for both of us (and the 2 dogs ).

I'll be working on it down at the garage this weekend (maybe before) and I'll takes some more pics.
I'll experiment w/some spacers & take some pics of that .... before putting on winter fitments.

GT silver is gorgeous !!!!! Look at this Turbo with brushed wheels -- https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...you-think.html

The metal strip will show no matter what . The last issue of Christophous (Porsche magazine) has an arctic silver targa 4 and the strip shows . It's less than a darker color but there nonetheless .

I agree. I think Midnight Blue looks better on a Targa than a coupe. Couple it with 2-tone black/sand beige interior. But that is what I like. Everyone should treat our opinions as just that: opinions. It is your money and your car, get what you want and enjoy the heck out of it.

My 09 is speed yellow, and my plan is to (once the winter passes) have the strip made black.
