Pricing help for my 911S

Ok so I've had my car for a whopping 6 months and absolutely love it. But with the change in the economy and falling Turbo prices I think that it may be time to move on up. With that being said anyone have any ideas about how much I should shoot for with my car? Its a Meteor Gray with Full Black Leather- 6sp. Comfort seats, Classic wheels. It has all the big options except nav and chrono. i have put in the dension ipod and bluetooth too. It is under warranty until July 2013 (Got it CPO). How much is realistic for this car in this market? Thanks.

Right now is a great time to buy if you are looking for a Turbo or GT3. However, its also a very bad time to sell. You have a 997S without Chrono and Nav and that is going to hurt a little. While I personally do not think Chrono is that important, the average buyer is going to want to find a 997S with these options.

In this market its not unheard of to find a nicely equiped 997S for less than 60K. There was a 997S fully optioned with only 6K miles going for close to 60K near me in Socal. Hope this gives you an idea of what to expect...

Nope, 2006... Also keep in mind that left over 2008's are going for 80K... Thats 20K under MSRP and for essentially a brand new 997S that has been sitting on the lot for too long. There are three 997S's at Miramar Porsche all going for around 80K....Great time to buy.. horrible time to sell...

I picked up my 06 S coupe in November for $52k. 27k miles, factory warranty through 7/11 (no cpo), tip, chrono plus, heated seats, nav, cd changer, partial leather. Midnight blue on beige with carrerra s wheels.

Thought that was a great deal at the time (and still do).

Good luck with your sale (and moving on up!).

Mine is an 07 with 10k miles. Only paint work was I had the rear bumper touched up someone parallel parked a little too close. But the car is perfect. Only mods are spacers, and the dension.

The 10K miles is the magic number . If the car has 9766 miles it will sell for 1500 more than 10004 miles . I kid you not. 10K is the psychological resale line of high end Porsches based on having owned 8 of them and talking resale when trading mine in .

So exact mileage is important .

Just as a contrast a car was bought on this forum in the upper 60's but was a C4S 07 with CPO and less than 10K miles.

I speculate the mid 60's fir yours.

Now --I traded in my 5 month old 07 997S for an 07 Turbo new in 07 . I paid 50K plus my car. That's near what a dealer trade in would go for your 07 to a used 07.

Where did you buy it, if you don't mind me asking? I'm interested in something similar. I figure by now we're looking at $45-50k.

A CPO 06 for 45? With 27K miles?
No way .

The original poster has an 07 though with less miles .
One newer year plus miles = more $$$

The 52K deal is about as good as there is unless you start making compromises (non Cpo, higher miles , body repair , uncommon color/options) .

Small dealer in Dallas, TX. Car checked out in PPI, etc.

Check all around the country for the best deal. Shipping will put you out $1k max (enclosed, insured, etc.).... in my case, shipping was incl in price.

The point is that it's still a much better time to be a buyer than a seller and that is likely to continue for some time.

Awesome, thanks. Did you seek out individual dealers' websites, or use Autotrader, or something else? Any help would be appreciated!

All of the above.

I used autotrader, cars.com (found that, as between the two, autotrader had cars with more real-world pricing), craigslist and, surprisingly, porsche.com

Porsche.com has a comprehensive used-car finder on their website that lists CPO and no CPOd cars for sale from Porsche dealerships.

Be patient, and you'll find a great deal. I started out looking at 03 996s and ended up with my 06 997 S and I'm very happy I took my time, albeit it cost me a bit more! ;-)
