The C2S gets the PASM . Are you referring to sport chrono? and Limited slip differential?

These performance features are nice to have but you have a great car .

First the LSD can be ordered as an option but all previos USA 997/997S cars did not have it and many of the 09's dont unless ordered . It's not a common option on this car --nice to have --
but not the end of the world .

As for sport chrono --I like it but some dislike it and even advise against it (except on the Turbo or PDK cars) . Is yours a manual ?

There are aftermarket choices but I don't think you need them .

So what color/ optins /pics --

BTW
CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!!!!! Now smile

No he is trying to talk about SPORT PASM...the lowered version of regular PASM. Also SPORT PASM comes with Limited Slip Diff (LSD..not the drug or LCD the TV).

Yeah, Sport PASM lowers the car and additional 20MM. Which looks right in IMO. If you got PDK then you def. need to get Sport PASM for you get the ultra-quick Sport Plus shifts. If its a manual car, then you are not losing too much that Bilstein's Damptronics can't solve.

Agreed. The gauge in the middle of the dash has a bit of um, character, but it's not bad, and the other good stuff you get with the 'Chono package makes it a no-brainer.
I also think the PASM is a no-brainer, though the 'firm' setting with the stock coilovers is unusable. But the other features of the system, and the ability to upgrade to Bilstein Damptronics makes it a like-to-have.

No SPORT PASM does NOT have anything to do with PDK. PASM is Porsche's suspension managment system. Sport Chrono will give you the Sport Chrono PLUS button that allows the PDK to shift even faster in both manual and auto mode. I hope this helps you understand these systems better.

Sammy, I believe that if you tried to retro fit the lower SPORT PASM to your car it would cost a lot of money. If you want the lower stance I believe the better choices would be:

1- Contact Sharkwerks about the Tech Art lowering springs they used on there 2009 Carrera S. This would be the less expensive way.

2- Purchase the Bilstein Damptronics coil-over shocks. This would allow you to lower the car to many different ride heights, cornor balance the car and still have the normal and sport setting of PASM. these shocks and springs with Damptronics are matched to each other. This system offers you many more choices than just lowering springs but is also more expensive.

I hope this helps you.

thanks...but it seemed cool to me that (not sure if im right) it only lowers when SPASM is on...then raises when off...

"sport pasm" --ok now I see . For 2009 this is new in the USA . This differs from the sport chrono as well as the regular PASM . There are so many acronyms that it can get confusing .

Sammy -you have agreat car . MDrums gave great adviice offering some options . Most here never had the sport pasm offered in the 997.1 .

Someone mentioned Techart springs (paid 700 bucks) and I like them and have them on my Turbo but I am changing to the Damtronics (suggested to complement the Gt2 sway bar setup--more expensive but supposed to be fantastic ) so I will have a comparison on my car to share.

In the meantime --you need to enjoy that car and not worry aboit this .

If I bought a 997S without sport pasm I would not shed one tear . You have a great car.

The sport chrono isn't just a "wart" guage. It doesn't change horsepower or torque but it does offer a different throttle response and on the S it changes the PSM setting to "medium" as opposed to being either on or off. Also in the PDK cars the setting changes the shifting dynamics .
