Is Red paint fade an issue still?

I'm looking to buy a used 997, and I really want a red one, but being in Florida, I worry about the red paint fading. The car will bake in the parking lot every work day. I see older Porsches sometimes with severely faded red paint. Have the paint chemists fixed this or do I still need to be worried about buying a red car?

I dont believe so. I think that was when they were painted with single stage paint. Now all the colors have clear coat and they don't seem to be fading. My red 1999 996 Looked like new when I got rid of it.
