Lease 2009 Porsche C4S

Hi,

I am new to the sport-car world and would like to do a lease for 2009 Porsche Carrera 4S Coupe. Can someone let me know what kind of price range should I expect? I like to do it either a 36 or 48 month lease with 10-12k miles/yr. Please let me know which car-dealers or websites I should look into.

Thanks a bunch,
hoeyha

Somewhere in the range of about $1700+ for 48 months, depending on how bad you get worked and options etc... could be higher or depending on market lower. Problem is Porsche has bad money factors and residual is lower than the car will actually be worth in said time.

I went on Porscheusa.com and priced out a 4s for you with standard colors, sport pasm, nav, bose and bluetooth and the leather sport seats total MSRP at $98,245 and with 10% total cap reduction (negotiated price @ -8% and the rest as down payment) got me a payment of $1283 per month with a 48 month lease and 10k per year.

I just configged one and I think $105k+ is a more realistic MSRP. On a 4S, you really want to get a few other options like sport chrono. And since this is a 2009, you might as well take advantage of the new options like PDK, universal audio, and XM.

If you aren't going to get those options, you might be better off working a brutal deal on a leftover 2008, or used 2007. Of course, you get the 997.2 engine on the 2009, whether or not you take advantage of the other features.

Mine was $112.5k MSRP negotiated down to $103.5k put $6500 drive off had $4k negative on trade (2008 M3 cpe) and my payment for 48mo is $1714/mo. From what I recall it's a .00385 MF for my tier which I believe was tier 2, and about a 43% residual. I tried to get bumped to tier 1 and that was .00370, so not that much diff. This was in December 2008.

I found PFS to be real snobs.

Just to clarify, $6500 drive off, is that a "down payment" on the lease or some other sort of cash payment to Porsche? Also, the $4k negative trade on the M3, are you saying that you had financed the M3 and were upside down $4k on it (so they took the car, and $4k, and you were paid on that note?)

Thanks.

BTW, why did you bail on the 08 M3 so quickly?

Hey CMOS, yes the $6500 included the $4k negative and the first month's lease payment and licensing fees. Once all was done they paid off the M3 and kept it to resale themselves, my liability being fully removed. I had a 27 month lease on the M3, and it was so far upside down that part of the deal was them paying me as much as they did. Realistically, if I had not had the trade, I probably would have gotten about $15k off the MSRP of the porsche.
Got rid of the M3 because I had the M5, M6, and E46 M3 before that, and was not that impressed by the E92 M3. The newer M3 was ok, but a porsche is in a different league. I guess I'm just not an M3 guy, and never really was, just thought it was the best, tightest performance that was out there. You live and learn. There was a time when I thought my pre-supercharger 355hp E55 AMG was the fastest thing on 4 wheels

Go to Leasecompare.com . They can tell you everything you ever wanted to know about leasing and quote lease costs online with no need for personal info or email or we'll get back to you or anything like that. Put in what you want and you get the numbers. While I am not affiliated with the site I have used them twice before to lease cars and they are very competitive and painless to do business with. My be others like them on the net. If nothing else you'll get a great education on how leasing works and what it costs per month.
