Thats why i will go for the Bilsteins, one **** to adjust is more than enough for me. I just contacted a shop over here that is experienced with corner weighting, and installed a lot of PSS9 systems on 997's. Can't wait to feel the improvement!

NorthVan, how do you find out what the ROW height actually is?

Just saw that you are from the Netherlands You have a lot of expertise with suspension close to you.... You shouldn't have any problem at all....

I would advice you to check with your dealer about the PSS10 with Nürburgring spec since this is the latest spec. Improvement both on track and european roads.

Thanks Frafoss,

I'll check with them about the 10's Nürburg. Does the 15mm spacer work well for you to? No rubbing what so ever?

Sköl!

Glad to help, I have been through your process some years ago.

With the Carrea S wheel, with performance or GT3 cambers, you should be able to use 7mm front and 15mm rear. 5mm front and 11/12mm is also a option.

GT3 has a front axle height of 108mm and 133mm at rear. I did mine aprox 2cm higher for easy living. See below pictures to get an idea. Later I have lowered it 1 cm.

That's interesting about PSS10 with Nürburgring spec- Is there any data on the changes? Does Bilstein not void the warranty for track use? Would be good to know. I think the cheif mechanic is spot on, those who only use their pcar for street use "normal drivers" are typically better off with a no-fuss setup, and PSS10 is about as easy as it gets. Those who are into driving their pcar at events and want more tuning ability (as well as good DD manners) would probably be better suited to KW's.

I opted for KW's over PSS initially becuase I wanted the added rebound adjustment. Also, the KWs have a separate low-speed bump that is factory preset (different than the adjustable compression setting). So, even if you have the KW's at very stiff you don't lose your kidneys on rough pavement / pot holes. It is a wonderful added feature.

p0orsch3, thanks for the comments.

I don't know the excact spec for the Ring setting but they are optimized for the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Since this track is a 20.8 km road, the setting are great for daily driving also. All major car manufacturers, especially Porsche and BMW, use this as their testing ground. You rekognize this spec by the sticker of the Nordschleife on the coilovers.

I don't know how the warranty works in US, but in Europe the Bilstein have lifetime warranty (At least the PSS10) for normal use. I know several people who has got free repair or new dampers doing trackdays. Bilstein, if I have heard correct, have a workshop who helps racing team but also "normal" people with problems when driving the Nordschleife.

From where are those distances measured? From the axle to the fender?

I don't actually know, but I guess it's from the ground to bumper.

A few questions for you guys:

1) What should I expect to pay for a new Bilstein B16 PSS9 Damptronic kit?
2) Is the PSS10 a better product than the PSS9?
3) What should I expect for installation if I decide not to tackle it myself?
4) Would GT3/RS or some aftermarket sway bar(s) compliment the C/O suspension?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions and/or input.

1) About $2200 - $2400

2) Not sure

3) About $1000 including alignment

4) Yes. Consider GMG's Sway Bar Setup and I would also recommend them for installation and alignment.

They did my Damptronic install and I have a set of their bars and alignment. I have been there many times and am always happy with their work.

I'm about to order a set of wheel spacers from www.automotion.com and had a couple of questions;

1. When i order the spacers, are they sold individually? So i need to put Qty 2 for both the 7mm and the 15mm spacers?

2. The bolts need to be ordered seperately. Does anyone know which size bolt i need for the 7mm and the 15mm spacers?

Just to be sure, these are the right spacers right...?

What i also was wondering, is why H&R would make both a 15mm and a 14mm spacer?? What diference does 1mm make?!

POR5CHE - Just give them a call and order over the phone, they will help you out and make sure you get the correct size bolts. 1 order is 1 pair. The bolts are about $6 each. You can go 7mm front and 15mm rear. Heck you can even go 18mm rear, there is plenty of room with stock wheels.

Ask for a 15% or 20% discount- they almost always give a discount if you ask!

1. Crazy - That is the same price as KWv3's, I can't see any reason to pick up Bilstiens if price is same/same. If someone offered you a Boxster S or a 997 S at the exact same price for either car, would you buy the Boxster? Well, less ***** to turn with the Boxster right? lol
anyway, bilsteins fall so short on build quality and features compared to KW's it is just silly. Both are just as easy to install / set up. Don;t get me wrong, both are good and both are better than stock, but for the same $$ it is a no brainer to get KWs.

3. $1000? Who is paying that kind of money for a C/O install? Tell you what, give me $1000 and I will get it professionally installed for you and pocket the extra $500. You should not be paying more than $600 MAX, there are several good places in SoCal that will do it for under $500 including alignment. Corner weighting will cost extra, of course, but daily / non-track drivers don't need it. (caveat - understandably, shop labor probably costs more in EU vs USA so maybe it is average $1000 outside of US)
