Thumbs up Vossen Wheels: Clean Looking Porsche 997 Carrera

This 997 Carrera was done by Wheel Experts in Southlake, TX. 817-416-9748.

Ever since we did that Porsche Twin Turbo. I love every single picture of the VVS-084 on a Porsche. I love the VVS-084 on any porsche.

What do you think?

Porsche 997 Carrera on Vossen VVS-084 20x8.5 and 20x10.5 Silver Machined Wheels.

9" is just about the max on the front of a 997 but 10.5" rears are really narrow for aftermarket.

you can fit 12" rears with 68mm offset without going beyond fender or having clearance issues.

you asked for opinions so here it goes:

my personal prefrence is a sculpted 1 piece or at most, a stepped lip 3 piece.

deep dish reverse drop wheels look too blingy for the character of the 997 IMHO. also, i dont know about shrinking the rear by 1/2" and widening the front by 1".

part of the beauty of proportions of the 911 is the extreme stagger of the wheels (3 inches of width difference front to back).

minimizing the stagger is going in the wrong direction.

would look better if the outers were clear anodized or bead blasted instead of that polished\shiny lip.

It is Miami so the shiny bits probably look better valet parked in front of Prime 112.

hmm- I have to say the 10.5 rears are a deal breaker. Would have to be at least 11", especially for a 20" wheel, and again considering a 9" front width. JMHO...
