Pricing help 07 C2S
I'm looking at a 2007 C2S with 12,000 miles. The car is CPO, has nav, bose, sport chrorno plus, pwr seats and a few other options. Sticker was $91K and the dealer is asking $62,000. What do you guys think I could get this car for. I'd like to try to get into the high 50's but I don't know if that is possible. Thoughts?

was it yellow?
Was it yellow, think I saw this..... for some reason some colors carry a premium and others IMO a slight delcine in value.... Yellow (like in NSX's) seems to go for less. this is just what I have seen.... 54K or an 07 997s CPO till 2011 is an amazing deal.... can you attached a link to that car?

i would never buy a car knowing it was tracked.

Yes he's tracked it but on separate track tires. Just have to check the brakes and clutch level. Otherwise a clean DME report from the stealer and you should be good to go, afterall, aren't these cars meant to be driven hard?

Make sure "CPO" registered with Porsche NA (dealer has the written confirmation if it is) and check tire bars, particularly on the rears (I had to replace mine at 11,000). If so, 55-56k a good deal, 58k tops. It's still going to sink like a rock the next two years, but so is most anything automotive worth having.

H man -- Did asearch based on your descrition on auto trader .
Looks like a nice car.
Here's the dilema -
1) It's the ONLY one in the region . That means they have some leverage.
2) It's a special order color beyond 07 . If you wanted atlas now you would pay an extra 3K .
3) the sellers comments almost sound like they were written by someone who respected the customer (maybe a woman ?) . They liked the car but wanted a cab --translation = they didn't race that car . Customer wants the wind in the hair instead and shelled out 50+ K for a new car to have it .
On the surface --it sounds like a cherry picked car . BUT pin that car to full accountability . Get a DME scan . Inspect body/paint /request full disclosure on CPO status .
See if you can break 58 if everything checks out. Get clear side markers thrown in at delivery.
Congrats ... if it works out.

Aren't the first two years the "biggies" as far as depreciation? Seems that a two year old 911 is the "sweet spot" for value - still almost new, yet a 1/3 discount from MSRP.

You are correct I believe. Last Spring an experienced Porsche salesman told me that Porsches are now like most cars - you take the biggest hit when you drive off lot and the first 2-3 years, then they stabalize pretty well. Who knows in this economy (in June I was offered 65k for my 06 on a trade; in mid Dec it had dropped to 52k)? 5,6,7 years ago on the 996's the drop was not nearly as bad because Porsche was raising the prices 4-6% every year.
