PCM 3.0 (997.2) NAV screen polarized?

PCM 3.0 (997.2) NAV screen polarized?
I noticed that the LCD screen on my 997.1 NAV is polairzed, so that if I wear polarized sunglasses, the brightness of the screen is adversely affected at certain angles with respect to my head.
Oddly, my wifes 2004 BMW 3er doesn't have this problem, and the screen is not affected by polarization angles.
Just wondering if anyone with a 997.2 has noticed this issue, or did they change the screen type?
