Will a turbo rear bumper fit......
#33
It will not fit. Go with the logic here, a turbo has a rear widebody, and C2 are narrow body, how can it fit??
Unless you cut it in the middle and re-glue it which is not an easy task, replace/modify heat sheild and brackets, change wheel liners, lots of extra time and $$... Im not saying its impossible, ive seen this mod on a 996, but might not look like you would expect.
People have done it on their C4S. Anways, if you want to try it go ahead, and keep us posted.

Logically it doesn't seem like it would fit, but if people have done it without modifications to the actual bumper I can't really argue with that. I'll update once I see with my own eyes....

dansaenz:
1. you don't need turbo heat shield
2. Some of the 997 heat shield needs to be removed
3. You need to fabricate 2 small brackets to attach the bumper. I've posted pictures of these before.

I am fully aware that your information is from your experience with your C4S. I've heard about a few people doing the same thing on a narrow body, but I'm gonna try it regardless. It may or may not work, but I was also discouraged from doing the turbo front which turned out amazing! I appreciate everyone's help regardless... I'm gonna try to get this underway first thing tomorrow! Will update when I know more..
thanks

I wasn't able to try it due to scheduling issues with the body shop that didn't work with my planned vacation to Europe. I'll update as soon as I reschedule it, so hopefully soon! I haven't given up yet....

If it fits, it seems like it would be much cheaper than doing the front because you don't have to worry about lighting electrical work. The front bumper hit my wallet at over $5k so not super thrilled about it. Hopefully this is cheaper, because I have a lot of other stuff I still want to do...

yeah electrical works frightens me.
I saw the pictures that ENRIQUE posted which gave me hope. I really don't want to have a useless TT bumper sitting in my garage though. Frustrating that I cannot find more information on the mod..
