PDK..slight stutter while in gear with no throttle..normal?

While I am at a stop sign, for example. If I let the car creep forward (PDK, 1st gear) with no throttle. There is a slight stutter. The RPM varies slightly and I can feel the stutter. Once I apply the throttle it goes away. Is this normal? The car has 450 miles. Thanks.

There is a new software update for PDK control. It's already in current production, but your car may not have it. Your dealer may or may not have it yet.

I will give the dealer a call soon and see if they have any info on the update. What else is changing with the update?

I do not know the details but I was told the changes are needed. There's also a high pressure fuel pump parts change but I do not know if they will do that for all cars or on a need basis.

You are welcome. Can you send me a PM comparing your 997.2 to your GTR from a driver's experience perspective? TIA.

The GTR and 911 are two completely different type of cars. From the weight, steering, and throttle response for example. I have been driving the 911 under 4k RPM and that is not fun. Once I can get the 911 over the break in period, I should be able to see how it does on the corners and the 7K RPM rush.

B R A N D X® is infamous around these parts
My PDK equipped C2 has always had occasional issues when taking off from a stop. It happened only occasionally when the car was brand new, but lately, with 5K miles on the odo it's happening frequently.....4 times in one day in fact.

When taking off from a start in 1st gear the engine rev's, no forward movement and then the gear catches causing the car to lurch forward.

It's caused a few anxious moments when trying to quickly pull out during narrow windows of opportunity in to oncoming traffic during rush hour.

I plan on dropping my car off next week to have this issue documented/looked in to......maybe the software update will resolve this issue.........

Just checked with Hendrick Porsche. They advise there is no such update or known problem according to Porsche.

Who wants to be the guinea pig for this problem?
I did the oil piston plunger noise with my 2006 Boxster.
It was not a happy time

It does not surprise me. PAG has an update - it has been slow coming.
