unhappy with PS2s
When the stock PZeros wore out I replaced them with PS2s based on recommendations from several friends and my own experiences with PS2s on my old M3.
I am not pleased. The tires squirm under acceleration and the heal over during very hard cornering. My rears are 305 stock (turbo sized wheels), and I suspect that the sidewalls are not stiff enough. They should be the correct fitament as I got them through GMG. I have 1500 miles on them already and want to dirch them.
I am inclined to go back to PZeros. Are there other good options.
I have a 2008 997S X51 w/ GMG GT3RS sway bars, and custom springs (10% stiffer) with nominal drop.
Thanks!

I have had P zer0. conti, Bridgestone (s02) , and others which I can't even recall and by far the PS2's are my favorite . Many of the Turbos came with Bridgestone and on that forum most agreed that the Ps2 was the better tire .
In fact I have never seen your complaint but if this is the thread maybe someone else will piggyback your sentiment . I wish I could recommend a better tire .. but I can't.

Have you driven the tires over 100 miles. There are release agents on new tires that make a tire feel odd at at first.
While I thought the Pzeros might have been a little more precise in their steering capabilities I will never go back because of the flat spotting.

I have had PZero's and now PS2's and although I to can get the PS2's moving around, the PS2's are a much better tire IMO. I may try a set of Yokohama Advan Sports next, I had them on another car and they were great. Porsche also has put them on there list of OEM tires.

I fitted PS2's to my first 997 S and I was also disappointed. Turn in felt less sharp and grip felt lower than the OEM P-Zero. In both cases the difference was very noticeable. There is also an appreciable increase in road noise.

GMG did the alignment and the specs are good. Same alignment specs as I had on the PZero.
The tires have 1500 miles on them, so it isn't a "new tire" thing.
I believe they are Porsche spec (GMG ordered them for me, and they are not prone to mistakes.)
They have plenty of grip and turn is okay, but the rears squirm like crazy under acceleration and as the rear end rotates. It just seams like the rear side walls are not stiff enough and the center tread deforms a LOT under hard use.
