Wheel Dilemma

I don't know what the price is but if it's OEM it's like buying a car . No one pays MSRP at a dealership .

This makes alot of sense to me and really puts my shopping into perspective. I'm definitely leaning towards the O.Z.'s. Brand new, the HRE's and Champion's are $5-$6K as you stated and that is way, way more than I want to spend. The O.Z.'s should be under $2K and I have the security of knowing they are brand new. Only problem now is that the 19" front O.Z. in Silver is out of stock at TireRack until August
Just dawned on me.How do you run out of front wheels only?

I asked if those were replica wheels, guy who replied to my email said they're OEM. If true, that's a great value.

One thing to keep in mind; The OZ's that you are looking at are cast wheels if I am not mistaken. This helps to explain the large delta in price between those and the other forged wheels (HRE/Champion) in question.
This means there is a most likely a difference in the weight and strength of the wheel.
Also: The other, more expensive, OZ's on the Tirerack website are forged. Hence the price difference.
Just some things to think about

The forged wheel has strength . The wheel purchase is like buying a car an engagement ring . It's one of those expensive things which make no sense . After all the car comes with wheels .. why can't they be the right wheels ? But they aren't . They are good enough but not great enough . So to blow 5+K to have better sounds expensive and silly . But once done .. it's worth every cent .
There's really no easy way . I think you ought to buy yoir favorite wheel and if its priced to high for the moment .. wait awhile . It may be worth the wait.

What type of budget are you working with? If you're interested I can give you a quote on a wheel/tire package for our new RSR wheel. 19 inch, 3 piece forged, available in any finish you'd like.

Thanks Tom. PM sent.

Whoa, anybody deal with these guys before? Here's a link to all their Porsche "Factory OEM" wheels for model year 2008: http://www.finishlinewheels.com/PORSCHE/911/2008/
Take a look at the wheels on the bottom of the page that rev997S is talking about (GT3 wheel). Price is $325 for fronts and $369 for rears. Seriously?

Looks like the front's are now going to be available end of June and the rears are still in stock.

After reading the fine print on their website, it turns out that they are not replica's but they are refurbished.
