Here you go. Let me know what you think.

This is the chart you just posted for the 997:

Here is an old dyno for my car. I've added a couple things since then but it's good enough for what we're trying to do here.

There may in fact be a 500 difference if the 997 is really 3000ish pounds.

Maybe it's time for a smaller pulley?

5 psi is way to conservative for that engine. Shoot for at least 6.

Doesn't 352 rear wheel HP sound a little high for a car that is supposed to have 385 crank hp? Knocking off 15% for the driveline, shouldn't it be in the neighborhood of 325ish? Especially on a mustang dyno which we all know are notorious for reading low.

Can I be nosy and ask how much you're running?

Your dyno is definitely better than the other. More area under the curve, better peak power. Different dynos, different days...etc.

I think you must have been pulling timing (due to heat, fuel, whatever..). If you were actually making that much power on that day, the 997S really shouldn't have been able to keep up.

Probably...but I'm assuming the car is truly under-rated. At least it seems to be based off of the videos I've seen of it racing other cars. It's surprisingly fast:

Not sure what to do now to diagnose it other than taking it down for another dyno run. I've dyno'd it on numerous occasions and it always makes similar numbers each time.

Let me know and we can do a run. Lots of open space down here of HWY 41 south of Apollo Beach where I am....long straight deserted roads.

The *** from my 997.1C2S weigh 65.4 lbs each, were as my 996 GT3 Club Sport seats weigh 26 lbs each.

Almost a 80lb savings from the seats alone.

Yeah, I would recommend doing another dyno session and seeing if anything has changed. As for our race itself, I can see where the possibility of us staying even in a race is. I mean, if your car is 400+ pounds, and my gearing is more aggressive, and perfectly fitted to my powerband, then its perfectly possible for a even race outcome.

Or it could just come down to driver skill....

I would love to tag along if you guys do some runs. Really curious about the outcome of a PDK vs. a 6 speed race since our cars are the same model

Are the GT3 club seats the same as the carbon / glass composite back sport bucket seats you can get in the C4S, if not, how are they different? Looks like I may need to change my order around a little.

The ones I have are a euro seat, no side airbags, no recline or tilt, no motors... They are leather though.

So assuming the added functions of the US models add up to 10lbs total, that's still a pretty good savings. I remember reading that the dynamic headlights were also rather hefty.

I've recently done the GT3 seats and the rear muffler delete. That's a pretty good chunk of weight off. However, I added the roll bar so it probably put me back where I started from.
