what tire are you guys running?
In the market for some new rubber. I currently have ps2's on the car and they're great but $530 for a tire is kinda ridiculous. For the guys not running ps2's, what are you using and how are they? Thanks.

I had the new Dunlop Sport Maxx's on for a short while. I liked them better than the Pzero's. Going to PS2's now cuz I have never tried them. But I would have no problem going back to Dunlops...

For the street you will not be anywhere near the limits of PS2's Bridgestones or any other tire.

Tirerack actually has put the new Pirelli PZero's as their #1 based on teh test track data. They are gripper in dry/wet then the PS2s and are cheaper.
That's what I'm going to replace with as the street tire.

Yea I saw those...I posted up if anyone has any experience with these yet. Price for the Pirellis and PS2's are just so prohibitive. If the new Pirellis wear about the same as the current N1 Pzeros...ouch. My current Pzero's with 14k on the rear just hit the tread bar on the inner rear tires and I have to say these things are "greasy" as hell at the end of their life. Any throttle input midway through corner means corner exit power slide. Scared the crap out of my wife.

Would Buy Again?, Hydroplaning Resistance, Wet Traction, Cornering Stability
Dry Traction, Steering Response, Light Snow Traction, Deep Snow Traction
Ice Traction, Ride Comfort, Noise Comfort, Treadwear. Based on their survey
I will replace my Continentals with PS2s.

They have that, but they also run their own controlled test on the same car:
go here, their test data is great. The test car was not a 997, but i think the value is still there...
Has the Pirelli P Zero Come Full Circle?

to P Zero tire (7.65 rating)? The difference in price is +$246.00.

For a street tire as long as the load rating meets spec and the tire is a performance tire that should be the most important issue. When my PS2's wear out I will go with Bridgestones for my street tires due to price.
