Who has faster lap times: TT or GT3?
Let's say that a 997 turbo races a 997 GT3 at the track.
Both cars are bone stock.
Who is going to get around the track faster?
Would your answer change depending on the specific track?

Much depends on the track, whether it favors high hp and grip, or agility and fluid transitions.
In the same set of hands, I think that the TT is typically more accomplished. But for driver's involvement, it would be NA and RWD.
Both amazing cars, obviously…

Stock to stock the Gt3 will take the Turbo . It can even run with it nicely on a straight but it would lose . The main strength of the Turbo is that it can be modified quite easily and with the changes can gain enormous power. Also it has a lot of luxury too . It's comfortable yet monstrous .
Most who buy the Turbo want the comfort . It's only the select few who hang out on 6speed with the desire to alter the stock Turbo . Most who buy the Gt3 work all week and want the outlet of track driving.
Each car has its segment of buyers. Neither would embarrass the other in any category.

The difference is.....just because you can get the TT around the track does not mean you can get the GT3 around in one piece. The GT3 driver will most always be the better driver because he has too. Less sissy controls.

My guess is that a fast track driver turns off the sissy controls before he finishes buckling his seat belt. They are totally unnecessary if you have proper command and control of your car.

The stock TT has AWD which is a sissy control that can not be shut off.

The TT has it's place and is a awesome car in it's own right, however the GT3 is built for the track thus faster around a track. The AWD in the TT or C4S has it's purpose but is a hinderence on the track. You could put Pat Long in both cars and the GT3 would do faster laps.

I heard about that a lot, RWD better than AWD at the track. But if you look at Audi R8, Lambo Gallardo, or even Nissan GT-R, they are AWD and a lot of people use them for track use. What's your thought?
