Which clutch do you guys use with your LWFW

I'm having an AASCO lightweight flywheel installed at the dealer next week and was going to start fresh with a new clutch also. Can I use an OEM clutch or is something else needed? I hear a sprung disc is a little easier to live with than the unsprung OEM disk. What do you guys use/recommend?Thanks.

I went with a Sachs Stage 2 clutch. Very manageable.

I left my original OEM clutch in the car. I had about 70% left and shop I dealt with said to leave it. So we did, the Sachs that Cattman installed is another good option, it will feel a little heavier then your stock clutch.

If you are concerned a OEM clutch can handle the power that the engine puts out.

Thanks. My mods are bolt on so I figured the stock clutch would be fine. I know a lot of people have done this, and was trying to avoid any mistakes and ask around. When the clutch gets swapped out is it common practice to replace the pilot bearing also?

Clutch swaps I leave to the experts. If they thnk they need it then we do.

The Aasco LWFW is a great mod, you will really notice the the difference, especially on exit speeds, really gets going quickly.

Enjoy!

I'm looking forward to it. From what I have read, aside from cats, its almost a must do mod to wake the car up. Plus free labor is a reason within it self.

I kept the OEM clutch with my SharkWerks LWFW. I put a new one in but kept it OEM. The original served me well for over 50K miles, at least half of those with a supercharger.

I'm using SACH's High Performance Pressure Plate with SACH's sprung disk, and AASCO LWFW. Essentially an "upgraded OEM" clutch set up with an LWFW. Take up is smooth, and pedal pressure is essentially the same as stock.

OEM can handle the power, go with what you know will work.

not sure why do you want to put LWFW for street driving, most likely wyou will hate it. it only makes sense for track car to rev faster to redline.
plus for M97/M96 engines it is not a good mod, you may brake your crank. google it.

use stage 1 spring clutch, do not use OEM. again, google it as 'LWFW broken crankshaft porsche' and then decide. Nothvan had it for long time and had a blast.
