um yes
nothing as boring as a bone stock 997.......I am a 997 owner and if I could not mod you could not give me a stock 997 to own,,,,, unless it was my wifes car.... even then would feel strange driving it. Say what you want all, but a bone stock 997 as fun as it maybe to drive has a lot to be desired on the outside.....rolling on 18's?
good news is you have an amazing platform to start from...... so short answer is yes mod the car.....gt3 front end is a nice start but will look foolish with most stock wheels and stock ride height,,,, sorry just trying to help... stock 997 owner here modded...

Ok
Turbo wheels only if finished in flat black.... also you need to do exhaust, at the minimum tips as the rear blocks are brutal... swap out rear badge or de-badge, wheel spacers are a must all the way around deoending on the offset of the wheel you go with.....as the wheels are way to sunken in, clear side markers, a new stance is a must, coil overs best but springs could pass..... silver hood crest I like over the gold... the 997 needs a wing but the cabrio can do very nice withoit one, but will need side skirts to bakance the front end of you go gt3.
These are my opinions only.... again I bought a stock 997 as well.... interior is another story.... I went colored silver gauges, silver belts to match, shift **** and pedal kit with boards etc....
again you have a great car to start with here!

To start,if I were you,I would decide whether it is going to be track car, street car or both.
Then modify to suit your needs!

IMO the turbo wheels are nice BUT are still a stock Porsche piece, even if not on the car you bought...I would try and do something different, but that again this is personal choice. As you can tell by my car...I have tried to change as much as I could while keeping the lines of the great Porsche design.
Like posted above..."A great platform to start with"!
Congrats,enjoy and be safe!

Congrats -- a c2 cab is simple and understated . I would choose traditionally styled wheels and opt not to place an aerokit on the the base cab . as far as looks go I like the Techarts but they are not the lightest but they do look so stunning on C2 cab. Here's forum member Porsch3's cab ,I do prefer 19's instead of 20's.

I say don't buy the Turbo Wheels! It probably is a heck lot of $... I think you should go with an aftermarket wheel like the HREs. I agree with Larry about the TechArt wheels, they look beautiful. The Gt3 bumper would definitely look good on any Pcar...

personal choice, but u will find that working on the car will be a never-ending story (atreyu!!!)... you will also find that you own personal taste will evolve over time... i would suggest to do little things and slowly develop the car... for example... you don't have to dump $2500-3000 on c/o's, drop some h&r springs in first to see how you like the lowered car look... browse 6speed for pics of other's cars to check out how wheels look... i prefer 19's but who knows you might like 20's... it's all up to you... only thing you need to define is purpose... for example, front end gt3 bumper? if you want to track the car, i think you need a rear spoiler for best results... regardless, you are a lucky individual to have this car... enjoy it...

Joes car is a C4S . Being that it's a widebody and has some aerokit pieces the P40 design blends beautifully .
The C2 on the other hand is a narrow body and thus more understated (imo) . I did consider suggesting a simple spoke wheel like the P43 or Rs171 . Both are nice . Then I remembered Porsch3's car .. the Techarts hit a home run on this car .
But 19's !!!! Not 20's .

Thanks tmg57
Ok, call me partial, but I'd say GT3 front bumper, TechArt side skirts, and HRE P40, HRE P43, or RS171's to start
I'd pass on a spoiler for the back but if you do, I like the TechArt Type I (smallest one they make). I think it looks good on a narrow body but to small for my car.
Larry, any thoughts on major difference when styling a narrow body versus a wide body?
