Scraped skid plate

Scraped skid plate
Ran aground a few weeks ago at the bottom of a steep hill. I was completely heartbroken, this was the first nick on my 2009 C2S cab. Of course you can't even see the damage unless you look under the car. I didn't scrape the bottom lip of the front bumper, it was only scratched on the skid plate under the car (and the screws that hold the skid plate on).
I'm not sure if I should:
- replace the skid pad
- wait to make sure this doesn't happen every so often
- enjoy the car and just get over it
- leave it in the garage and marvel at its beauty
Any suggestions?

just get over it, i scrape my skid plate daily with my 45mm drop... when it wears down to almost nothing i will replace it but premature replacement just leads to you wanting to replace it each time you hit it and that add's up..
after all, it is a skid plate.. ;-)

If you don't have a rash under the front end your car it spends too much time in the garage. It can't be avoided. I've got a few 'scars' from making a quick left turn to avoid oncoming traffic into a driveway that's a touch too steep. Even though I'm mindful to enter driveways at an angle sometimes it just can't be avoided.
Live with it!
