Teflon paint coating?
I overheard some guys talking about getting a new car finished with a teflon clear paint coating- supposed to keep paint looking like new, free of surface scratches etc. Anyone know about this?

cilajet
I was on my dealer's site today and noticed something called "cilajet™ (Aviation Grade Paint Sealant)". It seems this can be applied to the exterior and/or to wheels and comes with a 10 year warranty. The site says: "When professionally applied, cilajet™ bonds with the exterior of your car giving it a deep mirror-like finish, while reducing surface imperfections such as webbing and fine scratches. cilajet™ is not a wax, polish, or Teflon® coating." Is this what you are referring to? I'd like to hear how well it works.

I have had these Teflon coated American Racing Wheels on my truck for about 2 years.
It is a great finish, more grey than black. Sheds dust and grime really well, but I dont wash the truck anyway.
