Finally Decided and Now Have it
After 4 months of research and looking I decided on and purchased my 1st p-car. 2006 C2S. Thanks especially to Larry as well as others that gave input on my post. This is a great forum.
I completed the purchase on Thursday. No better time than on a 3 day weekend. I had 230miles on the odo day one. Added another 200 today. I have owned Corvette C5, Lotus Elise, Lotus Exige S, BMW 335i. Still have (but selling) :Noble M12, Maserati Gransport and Ferrari 348. I can honestly say that I have enjoyed all the cars, but none drive like the 997S. This is a truly GREAT car. I have NEVER felt a gearbox as smooth as this or steering as tight. I am so glad I held out for a car with Adaptive Sport Seats, they are incredible. The throttle in sport mode took a few miles to get use to, but once you figure out the correct foot pressure, it too is wonderful.
I only wish that the brake pedal and throttle lined up better. Heal/Toe is a little tough on the downshift.
Would be nice to have Heads Up Display as well (I really liked that about Corvette). Maybe they will add that as an option for future models.
Ok enough dribble on to the photos:

After this weekend, I know I am going to enjoy every day driving to work and the weekend mountain runs. I am ashamed in a way that in my years of car buying I am just now coming around to owning a Carrera S. Save the BEST for last I guess.
