have a 6mt, was parking the other day on a really steep hill and i pulled the ebrake the usual amount... i am kinda paranoid (as you can tell by post) so i went and tried to pull it one more click and when i did it made a very very loud click..... i kinda felt bad for the car and released it and then pulled up the usual amount and the car stayed put like usual..

but what exactly was the really loud click? could i have possibly damaged something? a friend told me all ebrake systems are auto tightening so even if i stretched something it would auto tighten itself back down with use.. but still that click was really really loud and i just wanna make sure i didnt harm anything before i keep parking on hills as would really suck to walk out to a car "down the hill"

car out of warranty or id just go to dealer and be like "acting weird" lol

 

Your fine. I think you don't know your own strength, but it did not damage anything. I've done it a few times for the same reason, its just as high as it will go...
