I'm sure you know we never see these kind of deals with the two dealers local to us (and the few North of us) like this. One of our two dealers has a 2008 C2S Cabriolet that was punched back in July of 2008. They had brought the car in in January of 2008 (so they've had it sitting for a year and a half). Has 100 miles on it. Sticker at $100k, for sale at $90k, and for me, and only if I acted soon and because I was refered to them by a friend, and only because they had to ask all the way up the management team to the owner of the dealership, they would "let it go to me for" $86k. Uhmmmmmm, yeah, thanks but I'll fly down to California and buy my car down there.

Yup, not sure what's going to happen to them but the dealer that I'm talking about is the other one. You know, the one located in the city with 16.7% unemployment in March of this year? They seriously need a reality check over there (as well as Sunset). Both dealers do know that we in Oregon have the second highest unemployment rate in the country, right? Unless they are selling most of their cars out of state (which I doubt since I live in this state and I took my cashiers check to buy my car out of state), I don't know how either will survive. I don't give a rat's behind about their sales department based on how I was treated, but I do need their service department to stick around.

Yup, they are ridiculous. They actually put this car on ebay last month with a Buy It Now price of $90k. They didn't get even one bid/offer.

Good point. Both dealers around here also deal with Audi, VW, BMW, etc.

I don't know about that. I laugh every Sunday when I see their ad in the New York Times for low mileage used 2008's for only $79,995. What a bargain!

Soon, the 09's s/b even better deals.
check this out.

I love dealers that quote the MSRP when they are trying to sell a used car! That's what the ad is for that '09. Basically a year old with pretty low miles. $17k below MSRP is almost available on a new car that nobody's touched!

In fact the Macadamia brown ,non sport chono PDK ,Targa in my opinion would be my pick the most failed 997 thus far . It lacks color desireability, full PDK setup , and is priced so high that who woiuld want it ? Yet Porsche sent two per dealership as a launch car.
