I broke down looking at the M3 . I spent so much time knocking down this car by comparing it to a 997S that I never allowed myself to love it even though it has been so reliable and confortable.
When I looked at it parked next to the Si --it hit me . The Si had to go . I do have another Si though .

Car sound beautiful! You will love the Carrera Sport Wheels. I had them on my 06 and they still are my favorite Porsche factory wheels.

+1 Only Larry could could do this. I admire him as he is not afraid to get what he wants..I'm sure he will be one of the first to MOD a 997.2 with PDK to the max.Larry, I'm afraid after reading about your recent purchase that it is only right I confirm deals are out there and purchase one as well this weekend. There is a BLK ON BLK C4S I am going to look at on SAT...and if the dealer is reading this post...Lets cut to the chase...20% off deal and you will be paid in full on the spot.

What a long day . My calls to the South Florida dealerships led to a new car and I pick it up tomorrow.
I could not bring myself to trade in the M3 . I guess I like it more than I thought or maybe I need it for occasional space .
So I had a one week old Civic Si with temporary tags still that my Gf drove to work 5 times . I washed it once .
Unless I was ready to compromise on options or colors to the "the deal" I had to be flexible . Although having always driven a manual I did consider what some here have suggested about already having the Turbo and why not experiment with a DD in PDK.
The PDK car had everything I wanted . It was an entirely new thing .I had fun with it. It's white with terracotta , I am getting black floor mats and I can keep the terracotta too. In the South Florida sun it looks gorgeous.
I fiddled more with PDK and am ready to give it a chance as I won't be the only one driving this car . I don't even have a list of options but from memory the big ones were :
1) PDK
2) Full leather Sport Adaptives
3) Sport Chrono
4) Bose
5) All the ipod xm radio gadgets
4) the fancy lights
5) Nav /phone bluetooth.
6) Carrera Sport Wheels .
I never did post pics of the Si but I left it at the dealership as it was late .
I'm tired , I'm going jogging . I am thrilled .
I just could not let this huge sale pass me . I have never in my life seen a new Porsche discounted almost everywhere like this and I got my feet wet .

I did not even get the M3 appraised this time. The other day it was pulling 45 -50 in informal negotiations.
The Si -I was hoping to lose 2K and took it on the chin for 2 more . I was given the choice of keeping or private selling the car as the deal was not contingent on the trade.
Painful to part with a week-old Si though.
